Essex Shipping Services was formed in 1989 as a privately owned company.

The Company is primarily engaged in tanker broking for all bulk liquid cargoes ranging from crude oils and petroleum products to base/lubricating oils, acids, chemicals, solvents and vegetable oils.

Close communication with ship owners, major oil companies and traders enables Essex Shipping to stay abreast of changing market conditions and guide accordingly.

Being completely independent and with no external financial backing the Company has successfully developed what is to this day a steadily expanding client portfolio.

This independence permits Essex Shipping to provide a bespoke chartering, broking and consultancy service across all aspects of the tanker market.
